James Kesler, HFA
Area Director of Operations
James is the Area Director of Operations for Bloom Senior Living's Indiana Region, including Bloom at Kokomo, Bloom at Eagle Creek and Bloom at German Church. He also serves as Bloom at German Church's Executive Director and was previously Bloom at Eagle Creek's Executive Director. James is responsible for overseeing daily operations and providing support to Bloom's Indiana communities, ensuring high quality care and services are provided to residents and achieving high resident satisfaction. Like the Bloom owners who were inspired after experiencing the challenge of finding the right home for their grandmother when she began suffering from Alzheimer's, there is a touching personal story behind James' passion for senior care. James believes in offering a modern, lifestyle approach to healthcare that caters to the needs of each individual. He shares Bloom's vision, core values and is committed to creating a living environment that fosters self-growth and self-actualization for our residents by providing them with the tools, resources and encouragement to flourish. Before joining Bloom, James worked for national providers as the Executive Director and Director of Admissions and Marketing for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing communities in Indiana. Before becoming a licensed Health Facility Administrator, James ran his own commercial production company specializing in corporate and large-scale entertainment (for clients such as the Indianapolis, Colts, Harrah's Casino, Wonka Candies and Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association); and worked in the beverage and automotive industries. He is also a professional magician. James attended Indiana State University and is working towards his Master's Degree in Arts at University of Indianapolis. He resides near Greenfield, Indiana with his wife and children.
Brent is the Executive Director responsible for overseeing daily operations of the community, ensuring quality care and services are provided to residents and achieving high resident satisfaction. He’s been a healthcare leader for over 40 years with strengths in problem solving, developing action plans, effective communication, supervision and training, team building, ensuring strict compliance with regulations and providing high quality care and services to residents. He also has a proven track record of establishing stable management teams; achieving high resident satisfaction rates and low associate turnover rates; and introducing new wellness and customer service programs. Over his distinguished career, Brent worked for local and national providers of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing - as an Executive Director, Area Manager, Regional Vice President, Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations - leading communities and regions throughout the Midwest including Indiana. He started his career with Beverly Enterprises leading 13 Nursing Homes and Retirement Communities for almost 15 years. He was then recruited by Life Care Centers of America to be the Regional Vice President. Before being recruited by Hickory Creek Health Care Foundation, where he would remain as Vice President of Operations overseeing nearly 20 communities throughout Indiana and Ohio for 18 years, he served as the Executive Director of 200+ unit communities throughout Indiana. He is a licensed Health Care Facility Administrator, and attended Indiana State University and Ball State University with course work in business and health care administration. He has served as a member, officer and board director of various organizations including: American College of Health Care Administrators; The Foundation of the American College of Health Care Administrators; The Academy of Long Term Care Leadership and Development; Indiana Health Care Association; National Fire Protection Association, Health Care Section; American Medical Directors Association; American College of Health Care Administrators, Indiana Chapter; LeadingAge Indiana; and Indiana Health Care Foundation. He has also been recognized as, and is a recipient of, various awards and honors by numerous organizations, companies and peers.
Dietary Services Director
Diana is the Dietary Service Director responsible for overseeing the Dietary Department and makes delicious and nutritious home-cooked meals from scratch every day for our residents using only the freshest, seasonal ingredients. Our residents enjoy a five-star dining experience lead by Leesa filled with a rich assortment of menu options. In collaboration with our Registered Dietician, Diana incorporates resident’s personal recipes, special requests, old time favorites and specific dietary needs so our well-balanced gourmet menus are designed with their health, personal tastes and preferences in mind. Understanding how important great food is to our residents, Leesa is consistently introducing exciting new cuisines for the community to enjoy.
Jamie is the Wellness Director responsible for overseeing resident health care services, the medication delivery system, in-service training of the Health Services Department and conducting assessments.
Director of Memory Care
Christina is the Director of Memory Care responsible for overssing the Memory Care programming, planning and coordinating community-sponsored activity, exercise and wellness programs for Memory Care residents, and ensuring our residents continue to live life to their fullest potential, enjoying their favorite activities while discovering new ones, and blooming into their best selves through growth and discovery. Alzheimer’s and dementia does not stop an artist from wanting to paint, a fisherman from wanting to fish or a dancer from wanting to dance. While some residents may have lost their short term memories, Christina's mission, through our specialized programming and full calendar of activities and wellness programs, is to stimulate the long term memories that remain intact allowing our residents to continue being who they have always been.
Community Relations Director
Kitrina is the Community Relations Director responsible for sales and marketing and has helped numerous families find placement for their loved ones. She is here to help you navigate the process and find the best fit for you and your loved one.
Life Enrichment Coordinator (Assisted Living)
Brandi is the Life Enrichment Coordinator responsible for planning and coordinating community-sponsored activity, exercise and wellness programs for the Assisted Living residents, as well as, ensuring our residents continue to live life to their fullest potential, enjoying their favorite activities while discovering new ones, and blooming into their best selves through growth and discovery. Brandi is a seasoned event planner, and her creativity and enthusiasm is second to none.
Director of Maintenance & Housekeeping
George is the Director of Maintenance and Housekeeping responsible for maintenance, repairs and improvements to our residents’ home, as well as, keeping our residents' homes and surroundings in a clean, comfortable and safe condition. He is a dedicated and professional, self-motivated achiever who simply gets the job done. George is respectful and pays attention to detail ensuring our residents are happy and proud to call our community home. He loves working and interacting with our residents and families on a daily basis to ensure our residents are safe and happy.
Business Office Manager
Sheila is the Business Office Manager responsible for maintaining day-to-day business office operations and procedures, including payroll, rent deposits and resident billing.
